National research shows that the performance of school leaders is the most important factor in driving school-wide achievement. However, over one-third of novice school leaders leave their role within the first two years. In underserved communities the data is even more staggering. Underdeveloped school and network leaders often experience a significant drop in student performance. In fact, it's the reason why 78% of novice leaders leave their roles. It's expected that new leaders will improve school performance and overall student achievement by their third year. There's only one issue with this. Our students don't have "years" to waste. They deserve our best - now.

New school and network leaders are often in need of more intentional development when taking on this new complex role.
