MPower is an exclusive leadership development initiative designed specifically for Black male educators serving in leadership roles within public schools across the country. Whether you are a principal, dean, head of schools, managing director, district leader or hold another leadership position, MPower provides the dedicated space and tailored support you need to grow, thrive, and lead with impact.

We recognize that Black male educational leaders face unique challenges as they navigate the complexities of school leadership. MPower is not just a network—it’s a community designed to cultivate your leadership journey in a space where your experiences, perspectives, and ambitions are centered. Through this program, participants receive access to a powerful ecosystem of mentorship, peer collaboration, and research-driven leadership development that strengthens their ability to create systemic change.

With students at the core of our work, MPower equips leaders with research-based competencies to refine their system-level lens, hone adaptive leadership skills, and enhance organizational management as leaders of color. This exclusive space allows Black male school leaders to engage in open, authentic discussions, gain insights from experienced mentors, and develop strategies to drive equity, excellence, and innovation within their schools and districts.

Black men account for less than 2% of all educators in the United States making targeted development, resource allocation, collaboration and coaching for this particular demographic incredibly scarce.

MPower was created to fill this critical gap.

Program Includes:

Immersive Leadership Retreats

The heart of the MPower experience. Leaders participate in two immersive, retreat-style convenings each year designed to deepen brotherhood, strengthen leadership alignment, and create space for reflection, strategic thinking, restoration, and renewal alongside a trusted community of Black male leaders

Cohort Sessions

MPower Leaders participate in four facilitated virtual leadership sessions throughout the year designed to sustain connection, strengthen accountability, and support real-time leadership challenges through reflection, peer discussion, strategic alignment, and practical leadership tools.

Coaching & Individualized Support

Each MPower Leader receives 10 hours of personalized coaching and leadership support tailored to their role, context, and goals. Support may include 1:1 coaching, site-based visits, and targeted leadership development designed to strengthen day-to-day effectiveness and long-term sustainability.

Masterclasses & Masterful Events

MPower Leaders gain access to curated masterclasses, fireside conversations with influential education leaders, private networking opportunities, VIP conference experiences, and regional gatherings designed to expand relationships, inspiration, and leadership impact.
